Goddesses

Goddess Lakshmi – Bright Future

“Stop worrying. Everything is going to be fine”
Lakshmi is a beautiful Hindu Goddess who represents wealth and prosperity in both material and spiritual ways. She can help us bring love, beauty and happiness into our lives.
I feel this card is appearing towards the end of the working year, which for many will be tomorrow. I know from running my own business that for many people January starts with a renewed energy and optimism to move forward in our chosen fields. But for those ending the year with uncertainties and worries of how things will go in 2013, Lakshmi offering to be by your side and work with you. Lakshmi will also bring in the energies of Ganesh who helps us overcome obstacles and together they are a formidable team that can work with you. Also remember the power of manifestations and affirmations, all of which will give you strength and determination to bring new opportunities into the year ahead.

Goddess: Butterfly Maiden

Butterfly Maiden – Transformation

“You are experiencing enormous change right now, which brings great blessings.”

What a card as we approach 21/12.

Butterfly Maiden is a Hopi Native American spirit. She ensures that our crops flourish and our harvests are bountiful. She is associated with Spring and will herald transformation, new beginnings and a new start.I believe this card has appeared today to remind us to be prepared for the shifts and changes that we will be facing. Doreen Virtue says one of the meanings of this card is “Don’t be concerned about endings, as they are bringing in the new for you”. Many people find the unknown scary and will often find it hard to move on, preferring to hold onto that which they feel is safe and familiar even when it no longer serves them well. But from that place we will not grow and learn. Sometimes we must have the courage to take that leap of faith, to challenge ourselves and to allow ourselves a new way of thinking and doing.

Goddess Maeve – Cycles and Rhythms

Maeve is a warrior Goddess of Ireland and it is said she worshipped at the ancient mystical site of Tara. She is also a Goddess of sovereignty, fertility, personal power and of the earth and this card tells us to:

“Honor the cycles of your body, energy levels, and emotions”

What better message to give today as people are gearing up for Christmas. What does Christmas mean for you – excitement, joy , giving to those special people in your life? Or maybe it is stress, tension, strain, arguments, pressure? But whether Christmas is great for you or very hard, this card reminds us of the importance to take care of ourselves – to love ourselves and honour what our needs are. How many of us truly look after ourselves? It’s all too easy to put our needs on the back burner so as to look after children, partners, parents but if we aren’t OK that how can we look after anyone else. A wise friend said remember why flying we are always told to put on our own oxygen masks before helping others.

So remember you deserve your own love and care. Honour what you need physically and emotionally, and look after your energy levels – if you need to take a break then take it – put your feet up with a cuppa for half an hour! I bet you’ll achieve much more after that much needed break and all the preparation will still all be done in time.

Kali – Goddess of the Day

KALI says

“The old must be released so that the new can enter”

Kali bring about the death of the ego – she is Guardian, Protectress and Mother and will help us through the process of letting go of those things  that no longer serve us.

It seems a very appropriate card at this time – as 21st December 2012 approaches. Have you, like so many others, had a whirlwind year of changes and moving on? Some people thrive on changes but very often, however good new beginnings might be they can be scary and we must stay calm and focused to follow through. We usually have to let go of stuff in order to move on and letting go can be even harder, But remember letting go of that which no longer serves us or makes us happy is the way to our growth and happiness. Yes, it can be hard, but the benefits be reap can be.

Eireen is a Greek Goddess who brings peace with her. The Romans call her Pax, which means peace. She tells us that we can give up our worry to heaven and live in peace.  Things may seem chaotic but Eireen tells us that all will be well and encourages us to trust in the divine as everything will work out beautifully.
